Beskid Extreme Triathlon is a new triathlon event in Poland, taking place in the mountains of Silesian and Żywiec Beskids
The whole distance is similar to the full distance Ironman. We start with 3.8km swim in Żywiec Lake. Transition zone is situated at the charming market place in Żywiec, where you start a 180 km bike. The bike is two loops of 90 km with climbing on Kubalonka and Salmopol passes, with the total elevation of 3,200 meters. Back to the market square in Żywiec at 345 meters above the sea leevel there is the start of the last section of the triathlon - a 44km mountain run to the peak of Babia Góra, called Diablak - the Devil's Mountain, 1,725 meters above the sea.
